But God Gives The Increase

In January I started my "But God" series with a look at the truth that God is always with us. For February, let's focus on the fact that while our calling is to witness and share the Gospel with those around us, it's God who gives the increase!

But God...Gives The Increase

1 Corinthians 3:5-7
“Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one?  I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.  So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.”

"Two words within the Bible that cut right through the strife.
Two simple words with power that can change a person’s life.
These words can speak to every heart, whatever path is trod.
We know in every circumstance, apply the words, “But God…”

Our lives can be a witness to share God’s love and grace.
May we use them readily in each and every place.
But God will give the increase and bring about the story.
Salvation lies with Jesus and so His name gets the glory!"


Psalm 80:7
“Restore us, O God of hosts;
Cause Your face to shine,
And we shall be saved!”

Ephesians 3:20-21
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

Point Of Praise
I praise You Lord that I can be a part of Your plan to share the Gospel and bring others to Christ. I thank You so much for the knowledge that my role is to be an open vessel, ready for Kingdom use. The responsibility of saving souls isn’t mine, it’s Yours. You are the One who gives the increase in people’s hearts. All I can do is use my life in a natural way to share Jesus, the Light Of The World.
I worship and praise You for this liberating truth. To Your name be the glory.
