Turn Worry Into Worship! (Psalm 139)

My third series for 2026 is called "Turn Worry Into Worship!" This series is intended to bring really short meditations consisting of a poetry couplet, a Scripture and a brief prayer.

Worry is such a paralysing thing that simply robs today of its joy, so I pray these little one to two-minute meditations at the end of each month can offer a quick shift of focus and help bring a change of heart for us this year. May worry have no place in our lives as we entrust all into the hands of our mighty Saviour and rest in His sovereignty. Let's take the energy we'd spend on worry and instead, use it to praise to the Lord! God bless you, love Lucy x

Turn worry into worship; oh, rest and take repose,
For all the things that cause concern, your Heavenly Father knows.


Psalm 139:1-4
“O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.
You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.”


Are you worried about something today or heavy laden with concerns? Let’s pray together.

Heavenly Father, thank You that You are not a distant God who is unaware or unconcerned with matters that concern me. You have searched me and known me. You understand my thoughts without me having to say a word or try to explain myself. You know me better than anyone else ever has or ever could. Help me to bring my concerns before You today and find rest knowing You are in control. You already know what troubles me, and You already know how You are going to get me through. Let my worry melt away in Your presence, and be replaced with a heart of worship for my Sovereign King as I dwell on this comforting truth. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
