Jesus Is Our Rock

September's verse for my, "Jesus Is" series focuses on the reassuring truth that Jesus is our Rock. So many people have no real security in this life and I always think it's such a privilege to have Jesus, supporting me through all seasons of life.

I hope this poetry verse and Scriptures can encourage and comfort our hearts today as we dwell on this wonderful promise.
Jesus Is...Our Rock

Isaiah 26:3-4
“You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.
Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.”

"Jesus is our Rock, the solid ground on which we stand.
Secure, our lives are set on Christ and not the sinking sand.
The Cornerstone who steadies us and holds through all life’s stages.
Firmly placed, unshakeable! Oh praise the Rock Of Ages!"

Psalm 62:5-6
“My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defence;
I shall not be moved.”

Deuteronomy 32:4
“He is the Rock, His work is perfect;
For all His ways are justice,
A God of truth and without injustice;
Righteous and upright is He.”

Acts 4:10-12
“Then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.
Jesus is
“‘the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the cornerstone.’
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.””

Let’s Pray

I praise You today Lord for You are my Rock and the God of truth. So many people in this life have no firm foundation to stand upon and have nothing solid to bring them hope and security when everything around them seems to be sinking.
Thank You Lord that when everything else collapses in my life, I still have You. You will always keep me above the ground where I can keep breathing and stand firm through the uncertainties of life.
What blesséd assurance it is to have You as the Rock beneath my feet, holding me up and supporting me each day. May this truth fill me with confidence today as I face whatever lies ahead. I know that with You, my Rock and Chief Cornerstone, I will have the strength to stand firm and not sink.
Praise You today Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
