Welcome, June! Our first post for this month is a return to my "Jesus Is" series with a focus on the wonderful and reassuring truth that Jesus is our Advocate!
Jesus Is...Our Advocate 1 John 2:1-2
“My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.”
"Jesus is our Advocate, we needn’t face God’s wrath.
Our Mediator intercedes and speaks on our behalf.
Although we broke the law of God; a truth we can’t forget,
Repentant hearts need never fear. Christ’s scars have cleared our debt!"

“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.”
Hebrews 9:15
“And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.”
Let's Pray
Lord Jesus, I praise and thank You for being my Advocate. I know that when the enemy accuses me before the Father, Your scars speak in my defence. I know there is no longer any record of my wrong doings, thanks to Your sacrifice.
Your death and resurrection bought my pardon and have freed me from all guilt and shame! I give You glory today that You are the One who stands between me and the judgement I deserve. Your scars prove that my debt has been paid in full and that the slate is wiped clean. Thank You for interceding on my behalf. Thank You that the work of the Cross now erases any accusations Satan may have against me. Thank You for making me free.
In Jesus’ wonderful name I pray, Amen.
