Last week we had a look at Jesus' statement in John 8:12 where He said, "I am the light of the world." This week, for our very last verses in my "You Are" series we focus on the wonderful and challenging truth that as Christians, we are a light FOR the world!
Jesus said, “I Am The Light Of The World.” Therefore as a Christian, You Are A Light FOR The World!
Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp-stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Shine the light of Jesus Christ for those who’ve gone astray!

Series Conclusion
I hope you’ve enjoyed my “You Are” series throughout the last year. I know I’ve certainly been reminded of some wonderful truths as I’ve recorded the poems each month and I’m so thankful to God for all He provides for His children.

What a list! And that’s not even the tip of the iceberg! The spiritual benefits and privileges that come with knowing Christ as Saviour really are endless. I pray my 2022 series has at least been an enjoyable start to appreciating the many, bountiful blessings we have as Christians. Here’s to 2023, a brand new year to give thanks to our wonderful Redeemer, Jesus Christ!
