The End Of Your Rope

We're now into the second half of the year and to mark the start of the month, we have July's edition from my "Spiritual Shorts" series. This month's title is, "The End Of Your Rope".

Do you feel like you're at the end of your rope today? If so, I pray this poem and meditation can uplift your soul. Love Lucy x
Spiritual Shorts- The End Of Your Rope

Matthew 28:20
“I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

God is there to take over when you come to the end of your rope.
His strength will safely sustain you when you feel you can no longer cope.
He will renew you in spirit and help you to turn a new page.
He’s promised He’ll always be with us, even to the end of the age.

If you’re hanging on by a thread, make sure it’s the hem of His robe.
Call on His name in the trial and pray for the patience of Job!
He will restore what’s been stolen and replenish all that’s been taken.
He said, “I never will leave you,” and His children will not be forsaken.

God is there to take over and bolster your soul with His love.
Each trial will bring new occasion to see what He’s capable of.
His mercies are new every morning; His faithfulness will see you through.
So come to the end of your rope, then watch what your Saviour can do!

Matthew 19:26
“But Jesus looked at them and said to them,
“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.””

Questions For Personal Reflection
Do I feel like I’m at the end of my rope today? Have I invited God into my situation and asked for His help, strength and peace in this trial? Am I relying on my own strength to see me through this situation? Have I considered that coming to the end of myself is actually a good thing, because now my circumstances give space for God to work powerfully?

Closing Prayer
Lord Jesus, every problem in my life is a great opportunity to witness your power at work and see how You are going to provide help and assistance. Thank You that this trial I’m facing is reminding where my strength comes from. Thank You for this opportunity to see Your power at work in my life. I invite You into this situation now and ask that You would work mightily, according to Your wisdom and sovereignty.

I pray that You would give me an extra portion of patience, comfort and peace today as I face these difficulties, and may my soul find rest in You, knowing that You are more than capable of handling this situation. Nothing is too difficult or too much for Your power, and so I place all that I am facing, into Your hands now and ask You to help me walk forward in Your strength and in Your wisdom. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
