Jesus Is Our Anchor

Welcome October! To celebrate the start of the new month, my "Jesus Is..." series focuses on the reassuring truth that Jesus is our Anchor. Praises to the God who holds us fast through the storms of life. Even in gentle waters, a vessel can slowly drift off course. Not so when we stay rooted to Jesus! Thank You, Lord for our Anchor!
Jesus Is...Our Anchor

Hebrews 6:18-19
“So that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.  We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain.”

"Jesus is our Anchor, in Him we can abide.
His love ensures we’re never tossed by every wind and tide.
Preventing us from drifting or wandering off course,
We’re rooted by our hope in Him! This is the greatest force!"

Ephesians 3:14-19
“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

1 John 5:4-5
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”

Let’s Pray

Thank You Lord Jesus that in this ever-changing world where so many things are uncertain, You are a certain hope in my heart. You keep me steady during the storms of life and prevent me from drifting off and losing my way.
Your Word keeps me rooted and firmly in place through all seasons of life, whether rough or smooth. Thank You that I’m not at the mercy of the tides of life but safe and secure in You, my Anchor.
May I share this hope and security with others today. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
