Last week we meditated on the encouraging truth that Jesus is our Warrior. It seems a fitting continuation this week to dwell on the fact that God protects us!
Others may seek to cause us harm and the enemy may try to stumble us, But God protects us. Praise the Lord!
But God...Protects Us
1 Samuel 23:14
“And David stayed in strongholds in the wilderness, and remained in the mountains in the Wilderness of Ziph. Saul sought him every day, but God did not deliver him into his hand.”

But God...Protects Us

Two simple words with power that can change a person’s life.
These words can speak to every heart, whatever path is trod.
We know in every circumstance, apply the words, “But God…”
When others seek destruction and look to cause us harm,
It brings the soul untold distress and fills us with alarm.
But God will not deliver us to wicked, evil plans.
Protected in His mighty care, we’re safe within His hands."
Proverbs 3:25-26
“Do not be afraid of sudden terror,
Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;
For the Lord will be your confidence,
And will keep your foot from being caught.”
2 Thessalonians 3:1-3
“Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.
But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.”
Point Of Praise
I praise You Lord that You protect me from plans that others may have to harm me. I thank You that while I know I’m not exempt from the pain and sorrow of this fallen world, I can rest in knowing that nothing will happen outside of Your perfect will for me. What a privilege it is to know that I am protected by You and You will deliver me from wicked schemes that would seek to overrule Your authority in my life. I praise You, my great Protector and Deliverer.
