Focus on His character, His mercy and His love!
Ephesians 2:4-7
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”
Are you weighed down by the concerns of this world? Let’s focus on the goodness of God’s character and give Him thanks today.
Merciful, faithful Saviour, I praise You for the mercy and love You have shown to Your people and to me personally. I thank You for all the positive things you have gifted to me over the years and for the blessings You have poured into my life.
Lift my spirits today, Lord, I pray, and help me to take my focus off of the troubles of this present age and instead find joy as I dwell on the eternal goodness of Your character. May my heart both rejoice and rest today, knowing that You are a good God who is in control and takes care of His children. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
