Have you been striving in your heart or in your thoughts recently? Let’s dwell on what the Scriptures say as we come before the Lord in prayer.
Prince of Peace, please forgive me, Lord, for the time and energy I’ve wasted on striving, instead of resting and trusting in You. Let any temptation to keep living in this fretful state melt away now as I let go of my desire to control all things, and instead, recognise that You are in control. Please help me to choose trust over self-reliance as I release my concerns into Your hands. Through this experience, I pray that You would bring me into a deeper understanding of who You are, Lord Jesus, and what You’re capable of. I praise and worship You today, Sovereign Lord. In Your mighty name, amen.
