You Are...Guarded And Protected

February's "You Are" verses focus on the truth that as Christians, we are guarded and protected by Jesus our Good Shepherd!

My "You Are" verses are intended to run alongside my "I Am" series and February's excerpt co-ordinates with last week's post which focused on Jesus' statement in John 10:11-12. It reads,

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.”
Jesus said, “I Am The Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”
Therefore as a Christian, You Are Guarded And Protected.

2 Samuel 22:3
“The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Saviour, You save me from violence.””

O’ how my heart can rest within the truth that’s been revealed;
The Maker of the Heavens is my Refuge and my Shield!
The One who formed the Universe watches day and night,
No evil force can hide from Him, no scheme escape His sight!

My Saviour gives me strength to face whatever lies in store.
My Keeper will preserve my life, now and evermore.
I know I’m deeply valued and I’ll never be neglected.
O’ child of God, rejoice for you are guarded and protected!

Isaiah 52:12
“For you shall not go out with haste, Nor go by flight;
For the Lord will go before you, And the God of Israel will be your rear guard.”

Psalm 121:1-8
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.”
