Luke 10:25-37

“And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?” So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbour as yourself.'”

And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.”
But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbour?”
Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

You Are...A Child Of God

For the month of May, my "You Are" verses take a look at yet another wonderful benefit of being a Christian. When we believe in Jesus as our personal Saviour, we are adopted into His family and become a child of God!

Eternal life is promised to those who believe in His name and have become children of God. What an incredible blessing and I pray this reminder can encourage our hearts today.

I Am The Resurrection And The Life (Part Two)

John 11:25 reads,

"Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.""

In April we had a look at the first part of this verse when Jesus said, "I Am the Resurrection." For May we focus on His statement, "I Am the Life."

It really was a profound statement from Jesus with profound effects! I pray these verses bless your heart today.
