Jesus Is Our Hope

The penultimate verse in my, "Jesus Is" series focuses on the fact that Jesus is our Hope. A soul without hope is a broken and lost soul indeed.

There are so many people in this world who live without hope. May we use our lives to share the wonderful, blessed privilege of having hope in our hearts when we know Jesus as Saviour!

Jesus Is...Our Hope

Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Lamentations 3:22-26
“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!”
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the soul who seeks Him.
It is good that one should hope and wait quietly
For the salvation of the Lord.”

"Jesus is our source of hope, our soul can wait on Him.
His mercies mean we’re not consumed and we need not give in.
Our God is ever-faithful, through Christ we can prevail.
Oh wait upon the Lord for His compassions never fail!"

1 Thessalonians 1:2-3
“We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father.”

Isaiah 40:31
“But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.”

Psalm 42:11
“Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God;
For I shall yet praise Him,
The help of my countenance and my God.”

Hebrews 10:23
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,
for He who promised is faithful.”


Let’s Pray
Heavenly Father, thank You so much for Your mercies which are new every morning. What a privilege it is to have You, helping me through this life and giving me what I need to face each day. I know that no matter what challenges come my way, I have the blesséd assurance of Your faithful hand, guiding me every day of my life. What hope and joy this brings to my heart! Thank You Jesus for this wonderful gift of hope. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
